Peaceful Valley Honey Hosts Davie County Beekeeper Association's Fifth Apiary Day

With some encouragement, a student opens a frame on her own as the other students and Gregory Fariss observe. Soon, other groups of students begin opening hives.

As students become more confident, they begin to open hives on their own. After five weeks of beekeeping instructions, students show that they are ready and able to manipulate a live hive of bees and observe their behavior.
